Our approach to lighting
Good lighting design considers how each space is used. We work with you to understand your needs, then create a scheme that balances function, mood, and energy efficiency.
Whether it's a kitchen renovation, a new extension, or a full home redesign, we handle everything from initial design through to final installation and testing.
What we install
LED downlights
Energy-efficient recessed lighting for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, and living spaces. We use dimmable, colour-temperature-selectable LEDs for maximum flexibility.
Decorative and pendant lighting
Feature lighting that makes a statement. We install chandeliers, pendant clusters, wall sconces, and decorative fixtures to match your interior style.
Under-cabinet and task lighting
Practical lighting for kitchens and workspaces. LED strip lighting under cabinets provides clean, shadow-free illumination where you need it most.
Garden and outdoor lighting
Extend your living space outdoors with pathway lighting, uplighters, deck lighting, and security floodlights. All installations are weatherproof and safely rated for outdoor use.
Smart lighting controls
Dimmer switches, scene controllers, and smart home integration. Control your lighting from a switch, an app, or your voice.
Why LED
LED lighting uses up to 80% less energy than traditional bulbs and lasts significantly longer. The upfront cost is offset by lower energy bills and reduced maintenance. Modern LEDs offer excellent colour rendering and a wide range of colour temperatures.

Frequently asked questions
Can you install dimmer switches with LED lights?
Yes, but the dimmer must be compatible with LED fittings. Standard old-style dimmers often cause flickering with LEDs. We install trailing-edge dimmers designed specifically for LED loads, which give smooth, flicker-free dimming.
How many downlights do I need in a room?
This depends on the room size, ceiling height, and the beam angle of the fittings. As a general guide, downlights are typically spaced 1 to 1.5 metres apart. We calculate the correct number and layout during the design stage to ensure even light distribution.
Do you supply the light fittings or do I need to buy them?
We can supply and install, or install fittings you have purchased. If you want advice on which fittings to choose, we are happy to recommend products based on your budget and the look you want to achieve.
Can you add lighting to an existing circuit?
In many cases, yes. We assess the existing circuit to ensure it can support the additional load. If a new circuit is needed (for example, for a separate dimming zone), we install one from the consumer unit.
